RST.PALLADINO

Architecture, Research & Education

Rosita Palladino is an Italian architect, researcher, and educator with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from Politecnico di Milano and professional experience in Italy, Spain, and Portugal. She graduated with distinction from the Master in Design Studies (Ecologies) at the Harvard University, Graduate School of Design, where she received the Ermenegildo Zegna Fellowship and served as a Teaching Fellow at the Department of History of Art & Architecture. Her recognitions include the Dimitris Pikionis Award and the Design Studies Domain Award, acknowledging her research agenda and contributions to the GSD research community.

Palladino is an Adjunct at the Syracuse University School of Architecture, and work examines celebration practices and ephemeral, self-built architectures. She studies how ritual, festivity, and temporary structures operate as pedagogical tools and as strategies for envisioning future possibilities across urban, rural, and remote landscapes. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges architectural assemblies, ecology, landscape studies, the social sciences, and art history. Current projects explore the Cult of the Virgin Mary and celebratory landscape-making in the remote woods of the Amalfi Coast, and ritualized, community-built urban practices in contemporary Uzbekistan, featured at the Bukhara Biennial 2025.
