RST.PALLADINO

Architecture, Research & Education

Rosita Palladino is a Lecturer at Cornell AAP, where her research examines celebration practices and ephemeral, self-built architectures. She studies how ritual, festivity, and temporary structures operate as pedagogical tools and as strategies for envisioning future possibilities across urban, rural, and remote landscapes. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges architectural assemblies, ecology, landscape studies, the social sciences, and art history.

She previously served as an Adjunct at the Syracuse University School of Architecture. Palladino holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Architecture from Politecnico di Milano, with professional experience in Italy, Spain, and Portugal. She graduated with distinction from the Master in Design Studies (Ecologies) at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where she received the Ermenegildo Zegna Fellowship and served as a Teaching Fellow in the Department of History of Art & Architecture. Her recognitions include the Dimitris Pikionis Award and the Design Studies Domain Award, in acknowledgment of her research agenda and contributions to the GSD research community
